‍Founded by Sebastian Völkl & Eliot Khachi

They started working together on Dalus in spring 2024 after Eliot quit his job at Aerojet Rocketdyne (L3Harris) where he worked as a test/systems engineer. He experienced firsthand how silos and poor communication in hardware development reduced the productivity and efficiencies of the teams he worked at.

Their Hypothesis:

Hardware development in industries like aerospace, defense, and automotive is slow, siloed, and error-prone due to poorly maintained documentation.

Traditional document-based approaches to systems engineering are outdated and fail to keep up with today’s agile hardware teams. Dalus provides an intuitive model-based systems engineering (MBSE) platform that centralizes all system requirements, functions, architectures, and constraints into one living digital model.
