"Low-cost on-demand GPUs for machine learning and AI"

Aedilic
is building gpudeploy.com. GPUDeploy is a software solution and marketplace for renting idle compute.

There is a lot of cheap, high-quality, unused compute sitting around

gpulist.ai alone lists over $600M in unrealized contract value. The GPUdeploy team has developed software that makes idle GPUs in data centers accessible and super simple to book and use via their website. They allow GPU providers and AI companies with idle compute to flexibly tap into the GPU spot market, while their resources are idle. Their software allows for fractional use as well, so a box of 8 GPUs can be rented out to 8 different people.

Other options are either expensive, booked out, or a pain to use

Lukas, during his time at ETH, was given a blank check by his lab to book GPUs for his research. He spent the entire night with his supervisor going through Google Cloud to get a few GPU instances. Plus, they were expensive, with an A100 SXM 40GB at $3.60/GPU/hour (compare this to $1.28 on GPUdeploy's site).

Solution: GPUDeploy

GPUDeploy is a software solution and marketplace for renting GPUs. They both have a spot offering and an Airbnb-like booking experience. They match your on-demand request with available compute resources that meet their standards. They can then simply connect to the machine(s) to run your workloads. They make the experience really simple and no-nonsense. They sort through everything for you. Plus, it’s quite cheap, as they offer wholesale prices.

They launched with a Show HN about a month ago, which immediately got #1 and stayed on the front page for 2 days: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40260259
